Blooms And Bugs is looking for baby/child models in San Francisco Bay Area between the ages 3 months to 7 year. We also occasionally need female models between ages 15 - 35 for our projects for women. Here are some of the kids who have modeled for Blooms And Bugs in the past.

What is in it for YOU:
Blooms and Bugs is not at a stage where we could afford to pay our models, but we do offer some nice freebies to our models:
- Most of the clothes kids model are for them to keep. These are handmade clothes made with superior fabrics so you can expect much better quality than Walmart or Target. Also the clothes are made to fit the model so a better fit all over. However, sometimes we cannot give a piece of clothing if it is made of sponsored items etc, we will let you know about it in advance, before you arrive for the photo-shoot. Also sometimes you may not get the clothing right away ( if it needs some fitting or I need to take more pics etc.) but I will personally ensure that you get it within a couple of weeks of shoot, even if I have to ship it to you.
- The photo-shoot is done by professional photographer, which means well-lit, well-shot photographs of your child. You will get high-resolution ( jpeg) soft-copies of between 5-10 of your child's pictures. However, the photo-shoot is supposed to highlight the clothing items kids are wearing and not the kids themselves so you won't get a close-up of their face etc.
- We will try to keep the environment casual and fun for kids and their families by making it a picnic like experience by providing some light snacks and fun props/playthings and picking a good location.
What you need to know:
- Even though you will be given the copies of pictures. All the pictures from the photo-shoot will be intellectual property of Blooms And Bugs. We can use any/all of them on Blooms And Bugs as well as for promotional purposes. You will be required to sign the waiver to this effect before the photo-shoot.
- The photographer can also use a couple of pictures in her portfolio.
- We never publish any identifying info of any child model on our blog or elsewhere unless you specifically ask for it.
What you have to do:
- Be willing to send out the measurements of your child when I need them for a project. This will ensure a good fit of the clothing on your child.
- Be available for a 15-30 mins pre photo-shoot consultation a couple of days before photo-shoot. In this I will explain what your kid is going to wear and what accessories you could carry to complement it. You don't need to get any accessories for the photo-shoot but it is always good to bring some if you already have them. Even when I bring all the accessories for the outfit, sometimes parents carry something unique that will complement the outfit even better.
- Be willing to travel to an outdoor location ( usually a park) or a studio for the one to two hour photo-shoot. This will be told at least a week in advance so you could make necessary arrangements.
- Be cooperative and willing to help your child to pose for the pictures. We can only get good pictures if the parents try to make their child laugh, smile or stand in a certain way.
